Brush with Bamboo

Purchasing an eco-friendly toothbrush was technically my second step into zero-waste living (composting being the first, that post is in the works!). But it was definitely the first time I implemented zero waste in my morning routine. Ask anyone who knows me and they’ll tell you that I have a penchant for falling into what I call “research rabbit holes”. When I finally came out the other end, I bought these brushes in bulk for my family.

  1. Company Transparency
  2. Simple, Attractive and Comfortable Design
  3. Superior Environmental Certifications
  4. Customer Support and Care

Brush with Bamboo is the world’s first plant-based toothbrush. Every component of their product is plant-based: bristles, handle, wrapper, and box.

Brush with Bamboo is a USDA Certified Biobased Product by United States Government’s Biopreferred Program. A purchase of their toothbrush is a vote for biobased products that are not fossil fuel-based.

I want to emphasize that paragraph above… every purchase is a vote for biobased products that are not fossil fuel-based. That’s a smart company. This is how we change the world; by navigating the systems in place that already exist. We vote with our dollar because we live in a capitalist society and when we want change, we demand it. I appreciate so much that this company does but I especially appreciate the way they speak about these issues. There is no fear-mongering, no pressure, no guilt and no flighty, unrealistic musings of our future. I love that because I am not making this change in my life for the future. I’m making this change to better the quality of my life and the life I share with the world right now.

If you don’t buy one of their brushes, then please take a look at what this amazing company and family has been able to accomplish in such a short period of time.
